About Argentina

Argentina or the Argentine Republic is a country in the southern half of South America. It is the largest Spanish-speaking nation in the world. It is the second-largest country in South America after Brazil and the fourth largest in the Americas. There was a steady wave of immigrants from Europe, mainly from Spain and Italy. This has a significant impact on their cultural and demographic outlook. More than 50% of its population have full or partial Italian ancestry forming a significant connection between Argentine and Italian cultures.

Argentina ranks high on the Human Development Index, the second largest in South America. It is known as a regional power and retains its historic status as a middle power in international affairs. The country's capital Buenos Aires is the most visited city in South America tourism-wise. There are 30 National Parks and many World Heritage Sites in the country. Due to the vastness of the nation, there are many climates and microclimates here.

You can experience tundra and polar climate in the south and tropical climate in the north, and temperate climate in the middle. The Argentine Yungas, Misiones rainforest, and Andean Patagonia areas are scientifically considered biodiversity hotspots. The great biodiversity and a large number of different landscapes and climates make Argentina a diverse country.
